Donald Harrison arranged the blues version of "The Magic Touch" with a nod to the legacy of Chess Records, an American record company established in 1950, specializing in blues. He and Vasti Jackson, legendary blues, R&B, and jazz guitarist, formatted the melody. Bassist Nori Naraoka, drummer Joe Dyson, pianist Dan Kaufman, and Donald Harrison's organ and piano contributions all add special bluesy touches and a big backbeat.
